California Facts and Statistics Regarding Public School Sex-Ed Programs, STIs and Unplanned Pregnancies

n_prupis_ca_sex_ed_500x279

Hello California abortion abolitionists! This is just another quick information brush up post, so we can increase our understanding of the cultural climate in which God has sent us.

Regarding Public School Sex-Ed:

Most women who are of childbearing age approaching abortion clinics for their “services” are a product of a public school education that inevitably includes sex-ed as part of their educational curriculum. Understanding how California public schools approach sexual education is relevant to all sidewalk counselors speaking to women “educated” in the public school system.

Nationwide, a third of all school districts now require abstinence-only sex education programs, and more than 80 percent require that their programs emphasize abstinence. However:

– California is one of only 2 states that ban the promotion of mention of religion in sex education.

– California is one of only 18 states to require that sex education must include information and immediate access to state funded contraception.

– California is one of only 9 states to require an “inclusive” (lebian, gay, bisexual and transgender) perspectives on sexual orientation in sex-ed curriculums. (This includes describing in detail sexual intercourse between LGBT couples to students.)

– California is one of 23 states that have rejected Title V abstinence-only federal funding.

Regarding STIs:

Many women approaching abortion providers like Planned Parenthood do so for STD testing and treatment. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, every day about 8,000 American young people (aged 15 to 19) are infected with a sexually transmitted disease. In California specifically:

– Gonorrhea and syphilis rates have shot up by 13% and 18%, respectively, between 2012-2013, according to a report by the California Department of Health.

– The above report indicates that the highest incidents of STDs were found to occur in groups of youths between the ages of 15 and 24.

– Statewide, the two most affected groups of STDs are youths and members of the LGBT community.

Regarding Unplanned Pregnancies:

Since the implementation of abstinence education, there has been a noticeable drop in teen pregnancy rates and sexual activity rates. U.S. teen pregnancy and birth rates have declined dramatically over the past two decades and are now at historic lows. The Centers for Disease Control also report a decrease in teen abortions nationwide. According to the CDC, the percentage of teens abstaining from sex rose from 46 to 52 percent, with most remarkable increases in areas with abstinence-based education. In California:

– When looking at women in California overall, not just teens, 53% of all pregnancies are described by women themselves as unplanned.

– The teen pregnancy rate, which includes all pregnancies rather than just those that resulted in a birth, has fallen steeply. As of 2010 (the most recent data available), the rate was 59 pregnancies per 1,000 teen girls (age 15-19); some 80,970 teen pregnancies.

– The teen pregnancy rate has declined by 62% since 1988. Since 2008, the teen pregnancy rate has changed by declined by 18%.

What We Can Conclude:

It is clear that abstinence and faith-based sex-ed curriculums work in lowering the rate of STDs and unplanned pregnancies among youth.

It is also clear that California youth are at a severe disadvantage, as California is one of the more anti-abstinence educators in the public school system. STD rates are skyrocketing in California youth (and pro-abortion giants like Planned Parenthood reap the benefits in new “customers”) because of our glorification of sex in the public school realm.

Even so, unplanned pregnancy rates and abortion rates are dropping through grassroots movements and sidewalk educators.

It’s clear that when adults underestimate young people’s ability to stand up for what’s right and to hold high standards, young people respond in kind. We need to raise the bar.. not lower it. When approaching young people outside abortion clinics, keep in mind that you may be the FIRST to tell a misled youth that you believe in her ability to respect herself, control herself and do the right thing.

Hope you learned something new and helpful in your fight for life! Until next time, God Bless and stay strong!

Choice on Earth… Ill Will Toward Men?

scan_1653767c

Christmas is less than a week away! During this merry holiday, as Christians nationwide are promoting the reason for the season, I can’t help but marvel at those who worship a Savior that they would have proudly seen dismembered and killed had Mary been pro-choice.

You see, Scriptures state that the Eternal Son did not begin his earthly pilgrimage as an infant in Bethlehem. He began it as a zygote in Nazareth. It is simply not possible to take the incarnation of God’s Son seriously and advocate abortion, which is unequivocally unborn baby slaughter.

Planned Parenthood and their ilk are still a little more advanced in their understanding of this simple fact than their pro-choice ‘Christian’ counterparts. They know that Christmas flies in the face of virtually everything they stand for. Christmas is about the gift of life – from the beauty of birth to eternal life in Christ the Lord. Abortion is all about destroying life. And that Jesus guy just keeps getting in their way.

The one thing that makes abortion mill workers pee their pants in fear is a pro-lifer armed with a Bible and a pamphlet with prenatal development details. Seriously, if you could broadcast an abortionists inner monologue at that dread sight, it would sound like an enormously prolonged little girl scream. I’m not discounting the hard and admirable work of faithless pro-life activists, but the truth is, Jesus Christ is the single individual most responsible for the thousands upon thousands of lives saved from the abortionist’s scalpel since 1973.

So pro-choicers figure, to attack Christian pro-lifers, they have to attack this Jesus guy they’re always talking about.

As a result, during the holiday season while Christ followers proudly proclaim “Peace on Earth” to the world and celebrate the birth of a baby boy, Margaret Sanger followers once again pervert Scripture and celebrate Planned Parenthoods “Choice on Earth” campaign, which celebrates the death of baby boys and girls worldwide.

In an interview a couple of years back, former Planned Parenthood president Gloria Feldt – who initiated the “Choice on Earth” slogan – stated that she intended the new motto to be a clear allusion to the biblical verse, Luke 2:13-14: “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

Planned Parenthood is the largest profiteer in the American abortion industry and PP groupies are tireless advocates for the culture of death ideology. So naturally the holiday season is a wee bit uncomfortable for this anti-life, anti-family, anti-God crowd. The introduction of this little slogan of intolerant, sacrilegious, bigoted drivel gives the anti-lifers reason to be quite giddy. Finally! The next best Christmas maxim since “Bah Humbug”!

You’d think a little Christian gal like me would be mad or upset at this perversion of Scripture. But I’m thrilled. This is promising! Like a mouse running toward a cat when there’s no chance to outrun it, Planned Parenthood is only displaying their desperation. Folks, people don’t attack a non-threat. When you’re taking a swing at human rights injustices, the dogs that bark the loudest are the ones that got hit. And boy, are these anti-lifers barking!

Plus, it’s kind of funny. They’re like the kid who delights in getting hurt because, “That will show them!” and I can’t help but raise an eyebrow at the childish antics of the pro-aborts who openly adopt the Scripture that they loathe. As long as they’re running with Biblical themes, I almost want to encourage them to indulge themselves a little further. For instance, they could try, “Choice on Earth: Continuing Where King Herod Left Off”! Since Scripture clearly eludes them, pro-choice Christians will at least really dig the vibe of ‘making sure no infant interferes with your life’.

But here is where this slogan gets great. See, in substituting “Peace” for “Choice” (which is a clear synonym for abortion), they are openly highlighting – and in fact, inviting – a comparison between pro-life peace and pro-choice peace. So let’s do just that! Let’s take a look at the multiple definitions of “Peace” as defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, and then we’ll go straight to the source and look at the various definitions of “Peace” as defined by Planned Parenthood staff over the years.

Merriam-Webster Dictionary Definition (from the dictionary):

“Peace” –

  1. A state of tranquility or quiet
  2. Freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions
  3. Harmony in personal relations

Planned Parenthood’s Definition (from actual abortionists):

“Peace” –

“I’ll tell you one thing about D&E abortions. You never have to worry about a baby being born alive. I won’t describe D&E, other than to say that as a doctor, you are sitting there tearing – and I mean tearing, you need a lot of strength to do it – arms and legs off of thrashing babies and putting them in a stack on top of the table.”

“They took that little baby that was making little sounds and moving and kicking, and set it on that table in a cold, stainless steel bowl. Every time I would look over, I would see that little person moving in that bowl. And it kicked and moved less and less, of course, as time went on. I can remember going over and looking at the baby when it was still alive. You could see the chest was moving and the heart was beating.”

“It’s going to be weird now because you’re going to see the sono. You’re going to see the heart beating – little hearts, you know – and then, all of a sudden, you’re going to put this cardiac medicine in it to make it stop. To kill it. So you’re going to see the exact moment when you kill the fetus. And, I mean, it might be more humane, if the fetuses do feel something, why not kill it, you know, fast, rather than rip its leg off?”

“When you’re, you know, putting a fetus’s feet in over its head in a baggie, there’s just this brief moment of, “This could have been me”, which I fundamentally believe is okay. She should have the right to choose. But still…”

“I hate it when people put it together to look like a baby. I hate that. I don’t want to look at it when it’s like that because it’s like a broken doll, and that grosses me out.”

“Many health workers told me they ‘never look at the face’ when processing tissue.”

Yeah. The filth, the caked-up blood, the descriptions of broken bodies, bloody instruments and psychologically tortured abortionists and clinic staff just reeks of “Peace” to me. Far from being outraged, I feel truly sorry for the twisted freak shows with a god complex that derive a sense of “peace” from women moaning half-consciously while their slaughtered babies grind through a machine in a spray of watery gore.

Through sheer worldly idiocy and a blinding desire to attack pro-lifers, Planned Parenthood actually invites the comparison between “peace” and “choice” with the holiday slogan. So pro-lifers, let’s not complain, let’s compare! “Choice on Earth” is a celebration of slaughtered children and the worldly “peace” it brings. “Peace on Earth” is a celebration of the birth of Jesus, the long-awaited Messiah who promised, “I am leaving you with a gift, peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn’t like the peace the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” – John 14:27

Planned Parenthood is bending over backwards, trying desperately to make us troubled and afraid this holiday season. But what they don’t understand is that we serve a God that grants us a true sense of joy and a peace that passes understanding – even as we are attacked by godless men and women that are stained with the blood of butchered babies.

So don’t sweat it when pro-aborts and blinded ‘Christians’ mutilate “Peace on Earth”. Pity them. And embrace the comparison as a tool for promoting life and the real meaning of Christmas! These attacks from the enemy shouldn’t be a surprise and they certainly shouldn’t be discouraging. We are quite literally in the middle of a war for life. Of course we’re going to be attacked! That’s expected. Promised, even.

But rejoice! Proudly proclaim the reason for the season, and peace on earth, goodwill toward men. I don’t mean to give anything away, but I’ve read the rest of the Book… And we’re on the winning side.

Merry Christmas fellow abolitionists, and Happy New Year!

Abortion Law 101: The Unborn Victims of Violence Act and California Feticide Law

76565293_Baby_67298c

As abortion abolitionists interacting with the public – whether on clinic sidewalks, college campuses or church lawns – it is extremely vital to be well versed in all aspects life apologetics.

As such, I thought it would be a good idea to post some “101” informational posts from time to time, to brush up on your life-saving debate / conversational skills and baby-saving savvy!

This post I’d like to address some federal and state laws regarding unborn children. I am well aware that there is some contention among the Abolitionist Societies over whether we should be focused on legal methods of abolishing abolition. However, regardless of your approach to abolishing human abortion, I think it would be folly to remain intentionally ignorant of current state and federal laws.. especially when addressing life-affirming and Biblically sound laws while reasoning with others can be used as a tool to sway minds and hearts toward life.

One of the classic comments from pro-aborts is, “Well, killing a fetus isn’t illegal.” Or, “Legally, a fetus isn’t a person.” Usually this is countered with, “Slavery was legal at one time, does that make it okay?” While that is a powerful answer, a more accurate response that triggers equally good critical thinking on the issue is, “Actually, murdering a fetus is NOT legal. Legally, a fetus is recognized as a person with full rights to life.”

If a person claims to live by a moral code that is determined and outlined by the rule of American law, they should be willing to acknowledge and accept that an unborn child is a person, with legal rights and protections.

The Unborn Victims of Violence Act

The Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004 (Public Law 108-212) is a United States law which recognizes a child in utero as a legal victim, if they are injured or killed during crimes of violence. The law defines “child in utero” as “a member of the species Homo sapiens, at any stage of development, who is carried in the womb”. The law is codified in two sections of the United States Code: Title 18, Chapter 1 (Crimes), §1841 (18 USC 1841) and Title 10, Chapter 22 (Uniform Code of Military Justice) §919a (Article 119a).

This essentially means that an assailant who kills a pregnant woman and her unborn child would be guilty of two murders, not one. Likewise, if an assailant assaults a pregnant woman and she survives, but her unborn child does not, the assailant would still be guilty of the murder of a human being.

This simply falls into line with common sense thinking in July 2000, when the House unanimously passed a bill prohibiting states from executing pregnant women. (Even politicians who usually stand for abortion on demand could not deny the existence of two humans being killed during a death penalty for the mother.)

California Feticide Laws

In addition to the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, 38 states (California included) also recognize the fetus or “unborn child” – regardless of age or stage of development – as a full person with equal rights, at least for purposes of homicide or feticide.

California laws concerning the unborn were reassessed, strengthened and upheld after Scott Peterson was convicted of double homicide under California’s fetal homicide law for the killing of Laci Peterson who, at seven-and-a-half-months pregnant, was brutally murdered by her husband.

Moral Schizophrenia in the Law

As cut and dry as these fetal homicide laws and legal standards are, both federal and state laws explicitly contain provisions excepting abortion. The Unborn Victims of Violence Act states that the bill would not “be construed to permit the prosecution” “of any person for conduct relating to an abortion for which the consent of the pregnant woman, or a person authorized by law to act on her behalf”, “of any person for any medical treatment of the pregnant woman or her unborn child” or “of any woman with respect to her unborn child.”

To a thinking person, these obvious double standard (calling the intentional killing of a human being a murder in one case and a “personal choice” in another), is straight out of the pages of history, when harming a free black man would be a crime, but harming a black slave was merely a “personal choice”.

Why This Information Is Good To Know

When reasoning with individuals who hold to a “it’s legal, therefore it’s okay” standard, it is important to point out these common sense and life affirming laws and legal standards for the personhood of the unborn.

While it is obvious to believers that the ultimate authority on life is God Almighty, many unbelievers think that the ultimate authority on moral issues is our man-run government and laws. Pointing out the inconsistencies and inevitable evils of resting on the reasoning of man via our hypocritical moral standards is a great way to illuminate why resting on “the law of man” is folly. How can these inconsistencies – from slavery to abortion – possibly be the ultimate authority on the matter?

By our legal standards, a woman with an appointment for an abortion tomorrow can be assaulted, punched in the stomach, and if her child dies, the act is deemed a legal and punishable murder of a human being. Yet if the woman avoids being assaulted and keeps her appointment, and pays a man to murder her same child in a far more brutal, gory and inhumane fashion, her child who otherwise enjoyed legal rights the day before, is now nothing more than a “blob of tissue”.

Surely some people who truly value our legal standards of personhood will begin to see the moral schizophrenia reflected in this exception. Once the idiocy and fallacy of the rule of man is illuminated for the inconsistent joke that it is, you can easily segue into introducing your new friend to the one and only true standard of righteousness, and what HE has to say about the precious lives of the unborn.

In this battle for life and death, take all the information you can and use it to glorify God and stand for life! You never know how God will reach those you speak out to, and these legal guidelines and their shameful loopholes may just be the catalyst to critical thinking and open minded reasoning for some.

I hope this information proves useful for you in future discussions concerning abortion and our precious brothers and sisters in the womb! God bless!

Sidewalk Counselors

Abolitionists: Central California Wants You on the Sidewalks of Killing Centers

Sidewalk Counselors

The Central Valley – in fact, the majority of Americans – WANT sidewalk counselors outside of abortion clinics.

Groups like Planned Parenthood work very hard to give pro-lifers a bad rap. Ask any Planned Parenthood employee or abortion clinic sympathizer and they will tell you… Sidewalk counselors are bullies, abusers, and all around mean people who do nothing but attack and demonize women and make them feel bad.

The tiny human being shredded in its mothers womb is nothing to concern yourself about, in fact, don’t even think about it. But those sidewalk counselors? Meanie heads, all of them! ….or so the pro-abort narrative goes.

So why is it, then, that according to the most recent Gallup poll on the issue, when Americans were asked if they would be in favor of, “A law requiring doctors to inform patients about certain possible risks of abortion before performing the procedure” an overwhelming 87% said they are in favor of such a law?

Likewise, when asked if they would be in favor of, “A law requiring doctors to inform patients about alternatives to abortion before performing the procedure”, again an overwhelming 88% said they would be in favor.

If the majority of Americans want to see it become a mandatory law that ALL women be informed about the risks and alternatives to abortion prior to ANY single abortion procedure – and it is a fact that the groups performing abortions are currently NOT extending this information, and are in fact misleading women on these points – then what, exactly, do they think sidewalk counselors are doing?

Sidewalk counselors, in a nutshell, “inform patients about possible risks of abortion” and “inform patients about alternatives to abortion before the procedure”. They also offer prayer, support and Christian fellowship to the women who are seen as little more than cattle to be hustled through a meat grinder.

When you dig down past the brainwashed knee-jerk reaction of Planned Parenthood-induced sidewalk counselor phobia and loathing, the simple fact is – America overwhelmingly WANTS sidewalk counselors to keep doing what they are doing. As the Gallup poll illustrates, if America had it’s way, it would be a requirement that every single woman marching her unborn child to his execution be notified of the risks and alternatives.

So if you feel the “we don’t like you” vibe emanating from those who’s paycheck rests on the constant flow of fresh meat into their abortion stirrups – don’t let it get you down. America has got your back. Even if she doesn’t fully realize it at times.

Not to mention, we serve a mighty God. And if He is for you, tell me… who can POSSIBLY hope to stand against you? God bless and we hope to see you on the sidewalks soon!

More Scientists Reconsider Intelligent Design as Ebola Virus Dumbfounds Darwinian Thought

ebola-virus333

Of all the testimonies to the existence of our God and Creator, Ebola seems like an unlikely advocate for Intelligent Design. But in the science and biochemistry world, this notorious virus is causing many Darwinian scientists to rethink this whole God thing. As quoted in an article “Ebola Utterly Mysterious to Darwinists” posted by the Baptist Press News (click here to read):

Viruses in general are “utterly mysterious” to advocates of a “Darwinian process” because “there is no good theory at all for how any virus came about,” Michael Behe said, adding that the most reasonable explanation for viruses is an intelligent Creator.

In the midst of an ethic dominated by Darwinian thought, one of the most significant recent developments is the intelligent design movement within the field of biochemistry, which, as we can see in the case of the Ebola virus mystery above, is rapidly picking up steam. Scientists who include Michael Behe (quoted above) are arguing that Darwinian evolution simply cannot begin to account for the extreme complexity of the machinery within cells, which is now visible at the subatomic level. A number of mainstream scientists have now gone on record as rejecting the randomness of evolution in favor of intelligent design – and more continue to do so every day.

This movement away from Darwinian evolution may serve at the very least to challenge people to rethink their fatalistic and nihilistic assumptions about human behavior. Specifically, behaviors like abortion.

Because ultimately, the unspoken but underlying premise of abortion is survival of the fittest. But that dogma is now being challenged as people reconsider whether there is in fact an intelligent Designer behind our intelligent design. By acknowledging a Creator some are beginning to return to the concept of a moral Judge who will hold us accountable for our actions toward the youngest and weakest of our kind.

When we succumb to the ideologies of a world made at random, the ONLY logical outcome of a thinking mind would be to follow in the footsteps of Peter Singer, bioethics professor at Princeton University. Singer makes it no secret that he believes the unborn and many infants and handicapped people don’t deserve to live and should be eliminated.

The scariest thing about Singer is not that he is so far “out there”, but that he is one of the few people willing to honestly take the Darwinistic abortion mentality to its logical conclusions.

While it is possible to reason with unbelievers on moral and ethic grounds (many who deny God unknowingly plant their moral foundations in a Judeo-Christian moral foundation), let us not forget that the first step in reasoning with others – especially in areas as vital as human abortion – is to testify to the existence of our mighty God.

God gave us minds to think, and the ability to reason in ALL areas of human observation… even Ebola in the realm of biochemistry testifies to our Creator! So arm yourself with knowledge, gird yourself with wisdom, and know that when speaking out for the unborn, God Almighty – and all the truth that He is and represents – is behind you!

God Bless and keep fighting the good fight.

California State Facts Concerning Abortion

california

The following statistics are from the Guttmacher Institute, the research arm of Planned Parenthood in America:

        – In California, 802,400 of the 7,917,182 women of reproductive age became pregnant in 2011. 63% of these pregnancies resulted in live births and 23% in induced abortions.

        – In 2011, 45% of California counties had no abortion clinic. 5% of California women lived in these counties.

        – In California, 802,400 of the 7,917,182 women of reproductive age became pregnant in 2011. 63% of these pregnancies resulted in live births and 23% in induced abortions.

        – In 2011, 181,730 women obtained abortions in California, producing a rate of 23 abortions per 1,000 women of reproductive age. The rate decreased 16% since 2008, when it was 27.4 abortions per 1,000 women 15-44. Abortions in California represent 17.2% of all abortions in the United States.

        – In 2011, there were 512 abortion providers in California; 160 of those were clinics. This represents a 2% decline in overall providers and a a 5% decline in clinics from 2008, when there were 522 abortion providers overall, of which 169 were abortion c

        – California does not have any of the major types of abortion restrictions—such as waiting periods, mandated parental involvement or limitations on publicly funded abortions—often found in other states.

In California, we are seeing a slow decline in the number of women seeking abortions and the number of clinics in operation, but we have seen no real strides or progress in the political realm. Although abortion clinics and abortion services remain politically unhindered and unobstructed in this state, less women are choosing to surrender their children to the abortionists forceps. Why is this?

It can ONLY be because of a revival of moral discourse in our communities.

More and more godly men and women are making it impossible to ignore and impossible to trivialize the horror of abortion.

In our community, groups like Right to Life of Central California and Tulare / King Right to Life are educating and equipping a new generation of sidewalk counselors and pro-life warriors for the battlefront in this fight for life. And special events group, like 40 Days for Life Fresno, are bringing fresh faces onto the streets and sidewalks outside abortion clinics to stand in the gap for life.

Likewise, The Abolitionist Society of Fresno, Tulare and Kings is currently seeking to network with Christ-centered churches in the community to take a stand for life year-round on the sidewalks outside our local killing centers and protect the unborn being ruthlessly slaughtered in our own back yards.

The fact is, when men and women of God stand in the gap and intercede for innocent children, innocent lives ARE saved. Even the enemy knows and acknowledges that fact. More powerful than laws, regulations and state mandated gag orders is simple obedience to the Lord in speaking the truth in love.

Planned Parenthood’s Insider calls community outreach – especially on sidewalks and college campuses – “the most challenging concept” and predicts that it “could have a profound impact on Planned Parenthood’s education and advocacy efforts.”

To see a revival for life in the Central Valley, all we have to do is shine a little light into the darkness. Are you ready to take a stand?

Newborn Baby Found Abandoned in Dumpster in Merced, CA

5090382_G

Every day news articles remind us of how the abortion on demand culture has created a moral decline in respect for human life.

One such news article is from our own backyard, where a newborn baby was found abandoned in a dumpster in Merced, California. (Click here to read the full news article via Fox News.)

According to local news reports, a man searching for recyclables in a trash container found the abandoned newborn baby, unhurt and wrapped in a towel. The baby was reportedly covered in gnats and garbage, with her umbilical cord still attached. He quickly yelled for help, and a couple who lived nearby took the baby under their protection. While this story could have ended in tragedy, the baby was taken to an area hospital where she is doing well, according to police, and the parents who helped the baby and fished her out of the dumpster said they would like to adopt her.

Police later found the mother, who they said is 13-year-old girl who admitting to recently having the baby.

Now before we demonize the girl who is a classic case of children having children, let’s take a look at the environment this little girl grew up in:

This girl grew up in a society that told her that babies are disposable. If you don’t want a baby, you don’t have to have a baby. She was taught that her rights far exceed the rights of her child, regardless of that child’s age in the womb – it can be killed, or “aborted” up to birth. If, when this girl went into labor, she suddenly decided to exercise her “right” to abandon and discard her child… who in this death-centered culture can blame her for extending pro-abortion logic to her present circumstances?

It is time we, as a society, realize that when we hear of these tragic cases of “dumpster babies”, we are simply facing the terrible consequences of a generation that has grown up under abortion on demand.

The power of the strong to determine the fate of the weak has been inbred through laws and policies and classroom discussions on abortion. What would have been repellent to previous generations simply seems normal to this generation.

But there is good news! Among the young and the old, right here in the Central Valley, a backlash is taking place. People are sensing that something is desperately wrong when the strong dehumanize and kill the weak, inventing sanctimonious slogans to justify it. Many Christian pro-life activists are now defending the rights of unborn children and saving countless babies through sidewalk counseling and church and campus outreach.

The Abolitionist Society of Fresno, Tulare and Kings County is seeking to lead this charge in the fight for human rights for ALL people, born and unborn in the Central Valley.

If you could, right now, drive to a dumpster in Central Fresno and fish out a living baby that is about to die, would you do so? Would you do what you could to save that little life?

Because friends, our local Planned Parenthood abortion clinic makes that dumpster in Merced look like a beautiful bassinet and safe haven. EVERY SINGLE WEEK MULTIPLE BABIES ARE INTENTIONALLY AND SYSTEMATICALLY KILLED RIGHT HERE IN FRESNO, CALIFORNIA.

One of the most powerful and influential things you can do to jump in on this life-affirming and baby saving action is to join us on Friday mornings during sidewalk counseling at the local baby killing center. Lives can, will and have been saved when people step up and intercede on behalf of the weakest among us – precious, irreplaceable, and helpless abandoned babies. Will you join us in saving them?

Do Justice

God’s word has a lot to say about justice.   One verse specifically says the Lord requires us, “to do  justice”.  But what does this actually mean?

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

How do we do what is good?  “He has told you, O man what is good; and what does the Lord require of you

The answer is in Scripture, the ultimate authority.

What is required of us?  “do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.”

We  love  when people show us kindness and we should love showing others kindness as well.  If we walk humbly with God, remembering His kindness towards us  (John 3:16) although we did not deserve it (Eph 2:8-9), it become easier to be kind to others when they do not deserve it and to actively love others. The Gospel when understood, will produce humility, a love for kindness, and a desire to do justice.  So what is doing justice?  It is simply loving your neighbor.

Justice is a legal term, and most of us think of justice as giving someone what they deserve.  Usually,  in some form of  punishment and injustice is when that punishment is given to the wrong person or the punishment does not fit the crime.  This is the typical view of justice, but the biblical view of justice is much deeper.

Doing justice in the bible is to love and love is an action.

Thus says the Lord: Do justice and righteousness, and deliver from the hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And do no wrong or violence to the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place. For if you will indeed obey this word, then there shall enter the gates of this house kings who sit on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their servants and their people. But if you will not obey these words, I swear by myself, declares the Lord, that this house shall become a desolation.  Jeremiah 22:3-5

Scripture gives some great example of what doing justice is and what it looks like.

” deliver from the hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And do no wrong or violence to the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place.”

Doing justice is helping those who are being oppressed and robbed, it’s caring enough to help them.  It is protecting and valuing the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow, it is caring enough to get involved in helping them.  It is helping to stop the shedding of innocent blood.

Murdering babies in the womb,  is one of the greatest tragedies and injustices or our time, doing justice is to care enough about this to do something to help stop it.   It is injustice that most of us put more effort into being entertained and getting our own children to their sport events than we do in stopping bloodshed of our unborn neighbors that are made in God’s image.  Be a voice for the voiceless, don’t continue ignoring this injustice.

“I hate, I despise your feasts, and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies. Even though you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; and the peace offerings of your fattened animals, I will not look upon them. Take away from me the noise of your songs; to the melody of your harps I will not listen. But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. (Amos 5:21-24 ESV)

If you are really going to give yourself to combating the injustice of human abortion, you have to be willing to “go it alone” – even for extended periods of time.  Many people who have done the most good and have made the most impact for the cause of Christ and for the sake of the unborn spent years hitting the streets by themselves, finding encouragement in God alone knowing that their labor in the Lord was not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

However, it’s always a great encouragement when people do catch the vision and come alongside to publicly speak out against abortion.  At the Abolitionist Society of Fresno, Tulare and Kings County, we have been blessed by the response of those who have picked up their cross to join the cause of abolition.
